Who: Riley and Tao
What: final plans
When: four days later
Where: Sanctuary

Tao had worked on getting the schedule for the next couple of weeks so that Riley's people could find out more about this Dubois. He had already started his own research on the man and had not left his sanctuary since. Only the people there and his second knew that he had not really disappeared. He ran the club for Tao in his absence and kept people from panicking.

He was still concerned over Marie's attitude but kept her out of things as much as possible for now. Feeding her information was all he thought of right now and Jeanne had kept her distance during their very short visit. The dizziness had passed, finally, the next day, but he had still felt weak. Smaller meals, and more of them had been William's suggestion and rather then argue it, he agreed and was reminded with a glass every two hours or so.

For now he had let himself go just a bit, a pair of jeans and an open shirt were all he wore while he padded around the house. Sitting in front of the computer, he had finally gotten the office cleaned and new hard wood floors rather then carpet, he ran a hand through his hair and went over the files of Dubois that he had gotten a hold of.

"I don't want to go." Riley replied. He knew that there was something to what Tao had said that he should have pressed further, but he was just too comfortable and too happy. His hands closed just a little tighter over Tao's. "I don't want to go anywhere." He added, and then raised his head to murmur in the vampire's ear, "I'll stay tonight, find something to tell the pack in the morning."

His body relaxed. He was aware that he could not actually keep Riley with him 24/7. He was aware and working at how he would deal with the man's need to take care of his pack, and his mate. Tao was working on keeping the urge to destroy anything with personal ties to the shifter and was only doing that because he'd seen, felt, how Riley felt about his pups. It wasn't something he could understand, but he knew it would only push him away rather then secure his ties to him. "I am sure you will think of something. Leave just before dawn, say that negotiations took a while." He turned to kiss along his face. "I will always find you, you know. I've had enough of your blood to be able to track you across the world."

Had Riley known just how strong Tao's instinctive desire to keep him close was, he might have pulled away. As the alpha, he absolutely valued his independence, he had to be wild and free in order to do his work. As things were, he was content to remain in the vampire's arms. He met Tao's eyes as he finished his last sentence and his eyebrows rose slightly. "Is that what you want?" He asked softly, "To know where I am constantly?" He continued, "I think that your magic won't work within the boundaries of our territory, Tao." He bowed his head and nuzzled his chest. "I'm already obligated to kill you for knowing where the settlement is."

Turning to lay mostly on his side, he pulled Riley closer, arms around his back. "It's not about want anymore, I will know where you are, if I feed consistently, I'll be able to feel you at any time. You'll have no more secrets, little wolf. I'll feel what you feel, hear your thoughts. If, you bleed for me again." He wasn't sure if it was a warning or not, but Riley to know how far things could go if he wasn't careful. "Well, I'm technically already dead, but if it makes you feel safer, I will swear to not step on your land." He felt it in his throat and he didn't want to, because it meant he could not fight them if he needed to. "I will swear to leave your pack alone." He whispered.

Riley swallowed and frowned at Tao for a moment, but then his expression softened and he eased back against the vampire's body, sinking deeper into his embrace. "I want to bleed for you." He said, and maybe he shouldn't have, but the feeling of having himself completely bared to Tao was too goo to let go of. When Tao made his promise, Riley smiled and relaxed, "Thank you." He continued, giving Tao's hand a squeeze. He licked the vampire's chest, his tongue rough, in the way that he might have cleaned the pelt of his mate or pups. His eyes went to the slowly fading bite mark on Tao's shoulder and he shifted a little to lap at the wound. "We can mark each other." He said, "Just not our bodies." He looked up and into Tao's eyes. "It may be smoldering, but my fire is in you, and you'll find it won't be extinguished so easily. Besides-" He smiled, "I can always sniff you out. You smell so strongly of magic that a noseless gopher could find you."

Tao's jaw worked, he'd just given up his right to take any pack member out of his way, even if it had nothing to do with Riley. The line they crossed was much more dangerous then he planned on. "Touch a human or other vampire and I will leave nothing left of them to bury, though." He bit off. Just that quickly, he started to calm again, fingers moving over his back as he licked at his shoulder, he tried not to hiss out a breath, it was still sore. His mouth quirked, "I choose to take that as a compliment. Now, on your stomach, little wolf."

"A human?" Riley echoed indignantly as he rolled gently to his stomach. He folded his arms under his head and rested his chin on top of one muscular forearm. He could feel his spine beginning to decompress from the new position. "Did I ever say anything that would make you think I have a mortal fetish?" He scoffed. "And as for other vampires, hnh-" He shrugged his shoulder, "I have no interest in other vampires." He seriously doubted that there was another fanger in this world like Tao, every other vampire he had met was like a leech, eating indiscriminately with no control or consideration for anyone but themselves.

Tao sat up smoothly, his muscles complaining here and there but not badly. "Well don't spoil things by telling me all of your fetishes. Better to learn them." On his knees he straddled Riley's body, sitting just on the backs of his thighs. He put the heels of his hands on his lower back, pressed at the muscles there and then ran them up his back, still pressing on either side of his spine. Leaning into his ear he smiled, "Then hope they have no interest in you. I don't usually compete for one's attentions. I made enough of a concession with your pack."

Riley let out a breath as Tao's hands pushed against his sore back. "Ah." He let out softly, his head raising briefly and then settling back down on his arms. His eyes closed and he turned his head when he felt Tao's lips near his ear. The vampire's words made a tingle run up his spine and he smiled. "I have no use for my romps in the woods when I have you." He said, opening one eye just a crack to look up at Tao with a mischievous glint in his expression, then closing it again. "You have a healthy irreverence towards my position as pack leader."

Tao made a very regal sounding snort. "Only because it is important to you does it even matter." Sitting back up again he slid hands down his back, he never actually completely moved his hands off of skin, constant contact. He started at the lower back. Thumbs pressing in circles along the top of his pelvis, out and then up towards the middle of his back. "I doubt you could give up your 'romps' as they were. You enjoy the run too much."

Riley glanced up at Tao again. He wanted to insist, to give the vampire his word that he would only fulfill his obligations to mate and nothing more. But he knew he shouldn't make a promise that he didn't want to make. "One of the youths." He murmured, "Nine years younger than me, from a different line. We took down a twelve-point buck on a hunt." He licked his upper lip. "Those things just happen. They don't mean anything. And-" He touched the tip of his tongue to his upper teeth, "If it's what they want as recognition from their alpha, I give it."

A frown creased his face and his fingers wrapped around Riley's ribs, a not so soft squeeze and he quickly loosened them. One hand pressing, heel down, from his spine to his side, and before lifting it he would start the same on the other side. "I already promised to leave the pack be. In my mind, I could pick from your memories which needed to be killed. But I know from your mind you would never tolerate it, so I will not go near them. Any of them." He continued the movements, one hand then the other, so there was constant contact up his back to his shoulders. "It is more then just what is necessary as a pack leader, but then you weren't about to do just the barest minimum as leader were you?" He sighed.

Riley let out a sigh. His back was starting to feel much better and yet he could tell that Tao was bothered. "You're the one who's seen deeper inside me than anyone." He grinned up at the vampire, "And you've been deeper inside of me than anyone has. The only one, actually." He reached out an arm and flipped onto his back under Tao, catching the vampire's arms in both hands. He quickly licked his upper lip, "Don't sulk." He continued, pushing himself up to steal a kiss from Tao's lips.

Tao didn't want to be flipped so he moved up more on his knees as Riley turned and raised his hands just slightly. He understood that he shouldn't have even a measure of the information he now had, but he should also have gotten rid of Riley as soon as he realized what kind of leader he would be. Oh he'd be a fine pack leader, for the pack, but not at all easily manipulated and it would just make more work for Tao in some ways. A weak leader meant a weaker pack which was what most vampires would prefer.

Falling forward onto his arms so Riley didn't have to lean up too far he kissed him back then frowned, "I do not sulk." He sounded a bit more, well, sulky, then he meant to.

"You do, and you are." Riley exclaimed, laughing a little. "Look at you." He murmured, raising a hand to brush his fingers over the vampire's cheek. "We just had the best sex possible, we're both naked and in your bed, and I'm getting hard again just from having you touch me." Quickly, he slipped his hands down and grasped Tao's waist, pulling his hips down against his. "And you're worried about some pup who I fucked into the mud, once."

	Tao narrowed his eyes at being laughed at. He leaned over Riley pressing him back into the mattress and bit at his lower lip hard. "No, I am worried that I make too many concessions for you already. The pup wouldn't be an issue if I were allowed to break him." He smiled teasingly and pushed a knee between Riley's legs. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Riley lost his composure briefly as Tao's teeth sunk into his lip, letting out a soft gasp as his knee brushed between his legs. "Can't let you do that." He groaned, nipping playfully at the vampire's lips. "If I did, he would start to want you instead of me." He licked his lower lip. "Maybe you should - show me what you'd do to him, just so I know what it would be like before I allow it."

He ran his tongue over Riley's teeth and moved over him, laying between his legs. "If I do my job right, he'll want whatever I tell him." He reached down to pull up at Riley's leg and press himself against his entrance, just hovering there. He nipped along his jaw and to his ear. "Might be dangerous, a proper job would leave your brain processing only pain, and only pleasure. Think you need a few more faculties then that. Of course, if you wanted, we could break the little thing together, then you could keep him as a play toy."

Riley felt a shiver run up his spine and his mouth went dry from Tao's words, but he shook his head, his hands spreading over the vampire's shoulders. He turned his head to give Tao more access, "I couldn't do that." He murmured, "Tempting as it is." He let out a groan, feeling Tao so, so close and yet so far away. "Shifters- we aren't pets-" One of his hands closed in Tao's hair and he arched forward towards the vampire. "Besides, I want you to myself."

Tao rolled his hips, pressing against him but still not entering him. He ran his tongue along the shell of Riley's ear. "What you mean, little wolf, is that not all shifters are pets. Plenty have given up their freedom for the benefits of being kept." He nipped at the lobe of his ear. "Still, it would be interesting to watch you, slowly training him to accept more, and more, hoping he does break."

"You're evil." Riley growled, his head tilting back and into the mattress. His hands tightened on Tao's skin and he fought his instinctive urge to pull closer. "Tao-" He groaned, sinking back into the bed. His eyes closed, "You make it sound- appealing, but-" He licked his lips and opened his eyes. "Is that what you want to see from me?" He swallowed, "Acting like that, being that kind of- manipulative creature."

"It's not manipulative when they want it. Of course those that want it are weak to begin with and become tiresome soon enough." Kissing down his neck he grazed teeth before thrusting into him hard and groaning. "It was, a pleasant enough thought. To keep me from wanting, to lure the whelp from, your lands." Raising his head enough to smile at him so that he wouldn't worry that the thought hadn't done anything more then crossed his mind and been abandoned. Pulling hips back slowly he bucked into him hard again. "I much prefer you, like this. Knowing you'll fight rather then break." He kissed him hard. "And I will deny I ever said that if you ask later."

"I doubt his mother would forgi-" But Riley's words were cut off as Tao pushed inside of him. His lips parted n a yowl and he tightened his fingers over the vampire's skin, letting his nails dig into the other man's flesh. "I want you like this." He half-whimpered, half-groaned, "Jealous and wanting. I want you evil." Tao's lips found his and he returned the kiss with all the might in his body. "Fuck, Tao, fuck me!"

His back arched, pushing against the nails running down his back. Tao growled as his hips began to piston against him. Pushing deeper he dissolved into a deep chuckle. "Do you know what I would do to your whelp if I was able to get to him? Do you want to know?" Pushing up on his arms he shifted to his knees and grabbed Riley's hips, pulling him up as he thrust down into him.

Riley pulled Tao's hair tight as his speed increased. His entire body felt so tight around Tao's length, he almost felt like he was going to split apart. And yet, despite the pain, there was enough pleasure that he wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else for anything else in the whole world. "Yes." He gasped against Tao's skin, "Yes-" He swallowed hard. "He would fight you." Riley growled, "He would be proud, he wouldn't want to be shamed- he would fight-"
