Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry

I've decided that I'm never moving from this couch again. Or at least not for the next couple of days.

Logically speaking, I think I overate on the third roast potato but - in my defense - they were awfull tasty, and I'd do it again.

Theres a pile of presents under the tree, and should your name begin with the letters O, P or M then there is a high likelihood that they are for you.

I'll send them. Once I can move.

 And fasten my skirt again.

Very sucesessful Christmas. Theres nothing better than spending Christmas with friends and their families.

How was yours?

Private to Orsino

Santa apparently delivered you a gift.

It was OK. Had Christmas dinner at my parents' for a bit and then spent the rest of the night with the band. Lots of food and alcohol was consumed.

Private to Penny

Indeed.

I can only imagine the destruction and deprivation that took place.

Was anyone sick?

Private to Orsino

He did! Its wrapped up nearly underneath our tree. Especial care was taken with the paper as well, all in all its a work of art.

I've also sorted out my New Years Resolutions so its been a productive weekend.

It was fairly typical, if that says anything. I don't really recall. I don't think so. I got home and fell asleep until about one o'clock in the afternoon, after which point it took me another two hours before my headache was gone.

And I proceeded to do something that is possibly quite stupid, but it has yet to prove to be.

Private to Penny

Well, that sounds exciting. That's odd that he would leave it under your tree when I have a perfectly respectable one.

I make those sometimes. Perhaps this year. What have you resolved?

I don't think I've ever slept until one o clock in the afternoon, but a three o clock headache/hangover sounds like a killer to be honest.

Quite possibly stupid? You strike me as an eminently sensible man, so now I'm intrigued as to what happened.

Did you get married?

Private to Orsino

Apparently Santas little helper forgot to Owl them in time to make it under your tree.

I've resolved to lose weight get in shape. And be Proactive regarding other matters in my life.

Hah, well, we had quite a celebration.

Generally, I am. But a combination of things led me to make a hasty, non-marriage related decision at about 6 o'clock.

As we speak, I have a dog curled up by my right foot. Actually, she is now licking my ankle. Now that I think about it...this is probably about as much of a commitment as a marriage.

Private to Penny

Probably drunk. What am I to do?

That's a good, if typical, resolution. But you seem quite proactive as is.

Ankle licking in some countries is considered a vow of marriage.

Possibly.

Does she have a name?

Private to Orsino

Santas helper was not drunk, but was however busy trying to plan for Christmas at the last moment by writing out cards.

Not when it counts not with my family. And its typical when a..someone..suggests you waddle.

Good thing it isn't here, or we'd have a whole other problem on our hands.

Seven.

Private to Penny

Ah.

I've only seen you in person maybe twice, but I don't recall you waddling on either occasion. Someone needs their eyes checked.

I do hate shopping for wedding gifts. I never know wether or not to go tacky or elegant.

Seven what? You've named a dog after a number?

Private to Orsino

Ah yes. Next year, she shall have Lists of Lists.

He was being funny I think. Maybe I'm over sensitive as we used to date when we were in Hogwarts. But thankyou, for not noticing I waddle.

Keep an eye on your windows, I sent an owl.

Elegant's usually safer, or else people get offended.

Just Seven. Lucky number, and all.

Private to Penny

Maybe. But you don't.

Being done.

Oh, you got the CDs, yeah?

Of course, and no one wants an offended bride on their hands. They're vicious.

Fair enough. Is it seven or written as '7'?

Private to Orsino

The what?

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]oneandtwoand
2009-12-27 02:45 am UTC (link)
Written out. Although doing it as '7' might be sort of funny.

Private to Penny

Shit. I forgot, I sent them to Meghan to give you because a) I don't know your last name and b) I don't know where you live. She probably hasn't gotten around to forwarding them.

Also, your owl just arrived. You are quite clever.

It saves on engraving his collar.

Private to Orsino

I haven't seen her in a few days. Her present is another one thats lying unerneath the tree so I'll probably see her soon.

My last name? Well, since I'm pretty sure you're not an axe murderer or even a regular murderer, I can tell you. My last name is Clearwater and I live in London.

Thankyou! I saw them and couldn't resist.

It's a she, but it would. Although money's not exactly short.

Private to Penny

Ohh, that would explain it.

What if I'm an irregular murderer? But that is good to know for future reference.

If they had arrived anonymously, I can honestly say I'd still probably be suspicious it was you.

My apologies.

Quite.

Private to Orsino

An irregular murderer? Are you? And if so, how irregular is it? Because surely if someone has done it once then it becomes regular. Which limits your options severley.

Ha. Really? If I'd sent them anonymously, I'd have denied all knowledge of their existance.

Seven forgives you, I think.

Although she got very uppity when the owl flew in.

Private to Penny

I suppose an irregular murderer wouldn't know he was a murderer at all. How frightening.

Well, I don't know you that well, but you have a unique sense of humor. You can't hide, Clearwater.

I take it she's not a fan of the fact that the owl got treats and she didn't?

Its a surefire way to end up with roasted owl for dinner, feathers everywhere and a dog sulking in her basket.

Private to Orsino.

No they wouldn't. Or perhaps they would and then spend time worrying about it so much that they can't go on to well, perform, i guess. Maybe its like knowing if you're crazy. If you're that self aware, does it count?

I can hide! It was always my favourite game as a child. I'm a lifetime champion at Hide and Seek.

And thankyou. For thinking I have a unique sense of humour. Most people consider it an acquired taste, so I'm glad you acquired it.

As it were.

And why do I feel as though I've turned into stilton suddenly ; the marmite of the cheese world.

I see we have reached an impasse, friend.

Hm. Since at least one of my band mates already seems to think I'm trying to lure you into bed with me, which I'm not, anyway, but what are you doing for New Years? I don't know that I need a repeat of waking up at noon with a migraine, and if I don't figure out an alternative soon, I think that is exactly what will happen.

We have. Stilton was the kicker. Who knew?

Oh nothing really. I was going to reorganise my books and socks before the bells, but if you don't fancy a migraine I can ask Ol if we can have a New Years Eve party.

Someones bound to have some muggle games, and I can bring out my one culinary contribution to society which is a cheese, pineapple and cocktail stick hedgehog. Possibly bribe Meghan to attend.

Sound like fun?

What other options did you have in mind?

Like milk? Think about what it is and where it comes from.

Who thought it would be a good idea to drink the white stuff coming from the cows bladders?

Do you practice being a man of mystery or are you just very, very good at it?
