Is it just me or is it incredibly difficult to concentrate on studying around here lately?

I don't normally like to curse. But if you'll please excuse my terrible language in this one instance, I don't wish any offense to anyone at all. Though I'm sure my fellow Hufflepuffs will feel the same way when I say

FUCK YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

If I have ever said anything bad about a girl in all my years, I fully and completely apologize. I have developed a newfound respect for all women-kind.

Because frankly, if I have to endure this pain for another fucking second, I may very well kill myself. And you get this every month? How do you even do it?

Demmy, please come see me. I think your body is rebelling against me. I want to die and cry and binge eat on chocolate. And holy Helga, do I feel fat.

Justin Finch-Fletchley, you are the man.

That is all.

[Hufflepuffs]
I am so proud to wear yellow and black. Let's make tons of noise and annoy the living daylights out of everyone. Proceed.

Well, well, well, guess who is the proud new owner of his very own flat. And no, this isn't an April Fool's day joke, unless my parents have grown funny bones in the last 24 hours.

They surprised me today. Took me to Diagon Alley and presented me with the deed to my first flat. They said it was an Easter/early graduation/congratulations for becoming a pro Quidditch player gift. Can't say I'm complaining. Of course, I won't be able to make payments on it until I start earning a salary, but my parents wanted me to have it in time for graduation.

Not a bad start to the holiday. Anyone feel like coming over to give the place a proper christening? I suspect a housewarming party is in order of course. How does this weekend sound?

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. I know I promised some art discussions, but I just haven't had the time. Oh, why is that, you may ask? Well... I've been busy at the Quidditch camp, that's why! Lots of great competition I'm seeing here so far. People from all over the world trying out for a spot on an International Quidditch team. It's going to be interesting to see who gets chosen and who doesn't.

As for me, well, I'm having the time of my life, thanks for asking. Spending all day playing Quidditch, learning about Quidditch, meeting professionals in the league and team managers. Just yesterday I went to a seminar describing all about how the professional world of Quidditch works. They also described things from the point of view of the managers, which made for quite the interesting discussion.

Today I played Seeker during the scrimmage. I managed to catch the Snitch in a decent amount of time, for which I was praised by several onlookers. Thank you. Thank you very much.

In closing, I would like to say a few things about the most recent Gryffindor vs Slytherin match. I think that those individuals, who shall remain nameless, who believe that it was Ron's fault for losing the match are completely mistaken. Was anyone even watching the Beaters on either team? Those bludgers were annihilating Gryffindor Chasers all over the Pitch. It wasn't the lack of points scored by the Gryffindor Chasers that lost them the match (or by the same token, the amount of saves by the Slytherin Keeper for that matter). It was the fact that the Slytherin Beaters were unstoppable, a force to be reckoned with. So, before you go badmouthing anyone, make sure you have all the facts first.

Good day.

The Slytherin vs Gryffindor game is usually the highlight of the Quidditch season here at Hogwarts. From what I've noticed over the years, the outcome of this game generally sets the stage for whatever comes next in the season and significantly affects how it will all turn out in the end. So, I think it's interesting to note that this game is being held so far into the season. For those of you who haven't noticed (and I'm really not sure how you might have missed it unless you've been living under a Hippogriff for the last few months), Hufflepuff is in the lead in points at the moment.

Very interesting indeed.

In other, non-Quidditch related news, my mother owled me just the other day to tell me she purchased a rare portrait of Anne Boleyn. If any of you are art enthusiasts, there is actually a portrait of her on the Grand Staircase near the second-floor landing. As the story goes, for those of you who don't know, Boleyn was accused by Muggles of being a witch, though she was actually a Squib. A very rare painting of her was thought to be lost, but my mother was able to track it down and locate its position. Smart woman, my mother. I do wonder what she'll do with it now.

And that's all the time I have for my musings this evening. Stay tuned for my next update where I'll be discussing Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Post-Impressionism.

Well, there's a lonely corner waiting; two sets left for playing.
And I'll tell her everything she wants to hear.
Well I'm not worth the love that's making, I'm better at the breaking.

knows how to disappear. )
